The Consultancy Group is collaborating with a leading global manufacturing business headquartered in London, with strategic offices across Europe and Singapore. The company has strategically acquired numerous businesses over the past two decades, resulting in a diverse portfolio of independently operating entities. To address operational complexities and maximise efficiency, the organisation is launching a comprehensive Finance Transformation Programme. This three-year initiative aims to seamlessly integrate these businesses into a unified entity, adopting a standardised ERP system, particularly SAP S/4HANA, alongside harmonised processes. We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Transformation Process Lead to drive the successful implementation of this transformative initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of process mapping and analysis for key finance functions, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (R2R), and Order-to-Cash (O2C).
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, business leaders, and external consultants to understand current processes and identify opportunities for improvement and standardisation.
- Lead workshops and facilitate discussions to gather requirements, document existing processes, and design future state processes aligned with the ERP implementation and transformation goals.
- Develop detailed process documentation, including process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, and control frameworks, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies in existing processes and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Work collaboratively with the technical team to translate process requirements into system configurations within SAP S/4HANA.
- Support change management efforts by providing process expertise to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies across the organisation.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of newly implemented processes, collecting feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.
- Act as a subject matter expert on finance processes and support the overall Finance Transformation Programme Director in achieving transformation objectives.
- Liaise with global teams to ensure alignment and consistency in process implementation across various business units and locations.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- Substantial experience in process mapping and optimisation across core finance functions, including P2P, R2R, and O2C.
- Solid understanding of ERP systems, with a specific focus on SAP S/4HANA, and the ability to bridge the gap between business processes and system configuration.
- Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives within large, complex organisations, preferably within manufacturing or similar industry.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience in change management and a demonstrated ability to influence and guide teams through process transformation.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with best practices in internal controls and compliance related to finance processes.
