The Consultancy Group is partnering with a prominent global manufacturing business headquartered in London, with strategic offices located across Europe and Singapore. The organisation has undertaken a series of strategic acquisitions over the past two decades, resulting in a diverse portfolio of independently operated entities. To drive operational efficiency and unity, the company is launching a comprehensive Finance Transformation Programme. This transformative initiative, spanning three years, seeks to seamlessly integrate these distinct businesses into a unified entity. The primary focus is on implementing a standardised ERP system, particularly SAP S/4HANA, and aligning associated processes. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PMO Lead to guide the successful execution of this vital programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead the Programme Management Office (PMO) for the Finance Transformation Programme, serving as the central hub for coordination, governance, and reporting.
  • Develop a robust programme governance framework, outlining roles, responsibilities, decision-making structures, and communication protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Transformation Programme Director, senior stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment of objectives and effective execution of the programme.
  • Design and implement project management processes, templates, and tools to standardise project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Manage the overall programme schedule, tracking milestones, dependencies, and critical paths to ensure timely delivery of programme objectives.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on programme progress, risks, issues, and key performance indicators to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks, roadblocks, and resource constraints, and work collaboratively with project managers to develop mitigation plans.
  • Support change management efforts by facilitating communication, training, and engagement initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing project team environment by providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to project managers and team members.
  • Liaise with external vendors, consultants, and partners to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
  • Continuously improve the PMO processes and methodologies based on lessons learned and industry best practices.
  • Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and excellence within the PMO and across the programme.

Requirements:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable
  • Proven experience (minimum 5-7 years) leading a PMO within large-scale transformation programmes
  • Strong familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA, and their integration into business processes.
  • Extensive project and programme management expertise, including the ability to manage complex project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies; experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies is advantageous.
