Power BI Analyst– London/Hybrid – Up to £55k – Retail

 

We are seeking a technical and experienced candidate with a strong background in business data and the ability to effectively visualise and communicate insights. This position involves joining a small and dynamic Data & Analytics team, responsible for providing reporting, insights, and analytics to all global teams. Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with colleagues from all departments and regions to deliver reporting and analysis projects that generate valuable insights and influence decision-making across the business.
  • Utilize Power BI to extract, transform, and model data from various areas within the organization.
  • Leverage Power BI to create engaging and interactive reports, empowering business teams to access the information they require.
  • Work alongside other members of the Data & Analytics team to forecast future business performance by identifying and extrapolating trends.
  • Contribute to our ongoing data warehouse project, ensuring the availability of relevant data to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Oversee the setup of Power BI workspaces, gateways, and security measures.

 

Candidate Requirements:

 

  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of working with SQL in a business environment.
  • 3-4 years of experience developing DAX Power BI calculations for measures and columns.
  • Proficient in business IT, with a solid understanding of typical data systems and flows.
  • Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from numerical data.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Inquisitive problem solver with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience working with APIs, Python, or building data pipelines may be advantageous.
